Our school
International Business and Enterprise academy and IB World School serving a multi-ethnic community. Westminster Academy (WA) is an exciting and diverse comprehensive school with a 6th form in central London that offers an innovative IB curriculum. WA is a rare standalone academy in London that has the flexibility to deliver an excellent education that is bespoke to its community and students. The Academy is proud of its work to improve outcomes for students in an inclusive, supportive environment. Our longstanding 1:1 device programme allows WA to thrive as both an onsite and remote learning environment. The school was mostly recently graded as ‘good’ in its Nov 2023 Ofsted inspection ‘The school’s curriculum is ambitious and matches the aims of what is expected nationally’ with an ‘outstanding’ 6th form provision where the IBDP and IBCP is offered. Site services
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, professional and highly motivated Site Service Assistant to provide outstanding support to the students, staff, parents and carers at Westminster Academy. The role is an integral part of the Academy, carrying out general building and grounds maintenance, and keeping the school site safe. Experience in delivering an excellent service, a warm demeanour, exceptional communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to use initiative in a fast-paced environment is essential. The Site Service Assistant will also need to ensure the maintenance of any machinery or plant within the school. As a member of the WA community you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Academy whilst working alongside an exceptionally talented group of teachers, support staff and leaders.
The ideal candidate for this post will:
Highly skilled Maintenance Operative/Facilities Maintenance/Handyman with significant onsite experience, within building and grounds maintenance and health and safety.
Ability to quickly adapt to different situations and perform building maintenance/DIY.
Able to work under pressure
An effective team player
