Universities and UCAS
All Westminster Academy Sixth Formers are fully supported through the exciting process of make university applications. Applications to universities in the UK and internationally are coordinated by the Careers and UCAS Lead, Sam Kaye, with the support of our OxNet Coordinator and Sixth Form team. We aim to ensure students are provided with the information needed to make informed decisions about their future.
Guidance and support
Students are guided through the university application process through a programme of workshops, university visits and individual guidance:
- Personal Statement talks and workshops
- Course choice guidance
- University choice guidance
- UCAS Discovery and university visits
- Unifrog and the UCAS undergraduate search tool are used to help research course and university options
- Overseas applicants have access to resources on both Unifrog and BridgeU
Oxbridge and Medicine
- Comprehensive support from the OxNet Coordinator
- Support preparing for entrance exams and interviews
- Medical outreach programmes
We support all students to make competitive applications through:
- Dare to Know speaker programme
- Work experience and workplace visit opportunities
- Clubs and Societies
- Mentoring programmes
International Applications

Destinations
WA students take up places on diverse, fascinating courses at a variety of universities. In 2023 these included midwifery, mathematics and philosophy, aerospace engineering and games art. A summary of student destinations can be found here.
