WA Admissions Policy

Westminster Academy is a non-selective academy and IB World School.

We are delighted to welcome prospective families to the school. Our supportive staff is dedicated to making the transition process as smooth as possible for students and their families.

Year 6 Applications (for Year 7 the following year)

Year 6 applications to Westminster Academy must be made via the Pan London e-admissions system. The deadline for Year 7 admissions for September 2025 entry has now passed. Please visit Westminster City Council’s secondary admissions pages here for more information.

 

Open Mornings for September 2026 entry

We will be holding Year 5 Open Mornings in July 2025. Please return to this page for more details closer to the time.

 

In-year Applications (Years 7-11)

Our in-year admissions are managed by Westminster City Council (WCC). If you are interested in a place at WA in Years 7-11, please complete the WCC in-year application form, which can be found here.


Supporting the Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

The most valuable and effective part of our transition programme for new Year 7 students is our annual "Welcome to WA!" Orientation Programme.

Key dates regarding admissions and transition 2024-2025:

  • ApplicationFood activity at Open Evenings online via Pan-London e-admissions (deadline: 31st October 2024)

  • Applications administered by the council November 2024 - February 2025. (There is no additional form required for WA. Criteria: Looked After Children; exceptional need; siblings; distance.)

  • National Offer Day: 1st March 2025

  • Year 6 Welcome Evening for successful applicants in March 2025

  • Year Information Evening in June 2025

  • Year 6 Induction Day in July 2025

  • Year 7 "Welcome to WA!" Summer Camp - end of August 2025

  • Year 7 Residential in autumn 2025
