Keys Stages 3 and 4 Admissions (Years 7-11)

 

Westminster Academy is a non-selective academy and IB World School.

 

We are delighted to welcome prospective families to the school. Our supportive staff is dedicated to making the transition process as smooth as possible for students and their families.

Year 6 Applications (for Year 7 the following year)

Year 6 applications to Westminster Academy must be made via the Pan London e-admissions system. The deadline for Year 7 admissions for September 2026 entry is 31st October. Please visit Westminster City Council’s secondary admissions pages here for more information.

Open Days

We were delighted to welcome prospective students to five Open Day events in July, September and October this year. Our next Open Morning will take place in July 2026.

Our in-year admissions are managed by Westminster City Council (WCC). If you are interested in a place at WA in Years 7-11, please complete the WCC in-year application form, which can be found here.

Supporting the Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

The most valuable and effective part of our transition programme for new Year 7 students is our annual "Welcome to WA!" Orientation Programme.

Key dates regarding admissions and transition 2025-2026:

  • ApplicationFood activity at Open Evenings online via Pan-London e-admissions (deadline: 31st October 2025)

  • Applications administered by the council November 2025 - February 2026. (There is no additional form required for WA. Criteria: Looked After Children; exceptional need; siblings; distance.)

  • National Offer Day: 2nd March 2026

  • Year 6 Welcome Evening for successful applicants in March 2026

  • Year Information Evening in June 2026

  • Year 6 Induction Day in July 2026

  • Year 7 team building - summer/autumn 2026
