Back to NewsTravel & Tourism at the British Museum
On Tuesday 27th September, our Year 10 Travel and Tourism students had the privilege of touring the British Museum as part of their current Travel and Tourism unit . The students were able to immerse themselves in two million years of human history and culture. The highlight of the trip was the Egyptian Sculpture Gallery where they were able to travel back through 3000 years of Egyptian history and come face-to-face with the Rosetta Stone and the Statue of Ramesses II. They also enjoyed visiting The Parthenon - which was built as a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena - and were fascinated by the sculptures that once decorated the outside of the building.
It was a very productive day out for our students and it was fantastic to see them being part of this unique and engaging opportunity to experience one of the most interactive museums in the UK.
