In December, Year 7 students took part in WA’s annual enterprise event facilitated by Bain Management Consultancy Firm, whose employees give up their time to come to WA and lead a Dragon’s Den style challenge! All Year 7 students are grouped with a Bain volunteer, who supports students to develop their ideas and hone teamwork and communications skills in order produce a professional presentation/pitch. Students then pitch their idea to their class and/or year group.

Hi! Our names are Carmen and Maya and we are Year 7 students who attended the Bain’s Dragons Den workshop, and it was brilliant.

As a part of the winning group for the best idea for an educational app, we would like to tell you all about it. We created an app where you could find out about past, ongoing and future protests by clicking a part of the map which then tells you any information about local protests. It would also provide tutoring and information on the selected protest.

It was overall a fun and educational experience! We are extremely thankful for this experience and we would recommend it to anyone.
