Year 11 Geography fieldwork at West Wittering

Our Year 11 GeWest Wittering IMG 6793ography students recently visited West Wittering Beach as part of their GCSE Paper 3 fieldwork.

The focus of the day was to investigate coastal processes and sand dune succession, giving students the chance to apply classroom learning to a real-world environment.

Armed with quadrats, ranging poles and recording sheets, students collected data on vegetation cover, dune profiles and human impacts on the coastline. This valuable experience will support their exam preparation and strengthen their understanding of how Geography works in practice.

Throughout the day, the students represented the school very well, engaged enthusiastically with the activities and worked exceptionally well as a team to complete the tasks. It was a rewarding and enjoyable trip, and we are proud of the positive attitude shown by all involved.
