We enjoyed celebrating Pi day at WA and discovered that we have some serious maths superstars in our midst!

A massive round of applause to our Pi Day recitation winners who left us all speechless with their memory skills:

• Year 8 Champion: Amar Rezzoug, who impressively recited 120 digits!
• Year 7 Champion: Luke Slade, who reached a staggering 391 digits!

To put that in perspective, the first few digits are 3.14159... Luke kept going for nearly 400 more! It’s official: our students’ potential is as infinite as π itself. Congratulations to both of you on this “irrational” achievement!
